Erth's association with Museums has expanded considerably to incorporate programs that build over a number of years, exceeding expectations and breaking attendance records.

As of Jan 2013, Erth broke it's own mould by producing it's first adults only show, Murder.
From the the internationally popular family favourite, "Dinosaur Zoo" to the reflective "Thylacine" and into the dark and dangerous "Murder", Erth appeals to everybody.

Welcome to the scene of the crime. A sinister yet compelling figure holds sway: interrogator, confessor and master of ceremonies, conjuring into life the figures of Nick Cave’s dark world of love, lust and death.
Created by visual theatre magicians Erth, Murder is inspired by Nick Cave’s Murder Ballad ‘Stagger Lee’. This dark, intimate theatrical encounter will attack you when you least expect it.

Based on the beautiful, illustrated children’s storybook by Ron Brooks and Margaret Wild, Erth brings to life the lost memories of the world’s last Tasmanian tiger.
In its research for this production, Erth toured Tasmania looking for clues, accounts and opinions that suggest not all hope is lost. Their findings are represented in imaginative projected images and live footage, creating a memorable world-premiere event that will inspire both doubters and dreamers.

Erth launched their most recent production “I, Bunyip” as part of the Sydney Children’s Festival 2011. A unique performance of puppets, visual effects and multi-media that takes audiences deep inside the mysterious heart of Australian imaginings with an inimitable cast of unique Australian characters brought to life on stage.
Children and adults are introduced to authentic stories, passed down in Indigenous communities for hundreds of years. Developed in consultation with five different Aboriginal communities around the country, I, Bunyip is a rare chance to meet very real characters from Australia’s oldest stories with one of the country’s most exciting performing arts companies.
Playfully named after the classic 1935 novel, I, Claudius by Robert Graves, the show seeks to record, explore and relate the stories of Indigenous groups that have never before been shared.
“Many people have shared European fables and fairytales to their kids. Of the Indigenous creatures that are of a similar ilk, there is a great misconception that these are mythological creatures, therefore they are perceived in the same way as werewolves, fairies or trolls, as creatures that may have existed a long time ago but don’t exist anymore.
The truth is, these characters are very genuine and present in our history and it is important for today’s children – and indeed Australians of all ages — to discover these incredible, authentic stories. Even today, the creatures that feature in I, Bunyip are feared and revered in Aboriginal communities.
These stories are part of people’s lives, the fabric of their communities and identity. We are privileged to have learnt and been given permission to share these special stories.

Our creatures inhabit and intervene in an array of public and private spaces. your imagination is the only limitation.
Illustrators, sculptors, painters, engineers, textile artists, sound designers plus many more all contribute their specialist skills to a multitude of projects. Aesthetically bold yet practical design sensitivity is the goal of all work undertaken by the Studio.
Housed in Sydney’s newest contemporary arts complex, Carriageworks, the Studio generates work not only for Erth repertoire but also for other resident performance companies, as well as commissions for external organisations.
ERTH are often engaged to collaborate, consult, and design projects. This can range from services for individuals and community groups to larger corporate or cultural institutions.
The Studio takes great pride in designing and making all it’s own work, and can create or adapt its material to suit any purpose. Where It is not physically possible to create all the required work in-house, the Studio serves as a creative hub for facilitation of objects made off-site by key artists.
An early major commission was the design, manufacture and performance of realistic and dynamic dinosaur body puppets for Museum Victoria in 2002. This began a whole new client, product and programming stream for the company, which continues today.
