Erth can deliver puppet-making workshops for a variety of ages, from children to adults.

We also offer specific workshops designed to enhance the experience of seeing a particular production.

Make a small foam puppet with pre-prepared components. Using materials and methods supplied by Erth. Everyone walks away with a puppet they build themselves
Build it.
Create your own puppet based on the star of the show; or make a puppet using materials found in your region. Whether weaving organic elements like grass or twigs, to assembly of recycled objects, resourcefulness and imagination are key.
Make it.

Kids puppet making workshops:
April school holidays at Sydney Opera House
Construct and decorate your own Australovenator or Leaellynasaura hand puppet in this hands-on workshop.
Workshops will be held at the Centre for Creativity at the Sydney Opera House, in conjunction with our new stage show, Erth’s Dinosaurs.

Masterclasses
Learn performance and intuition skills to create authentic puppetry.
From time to time Erth presents, or facilitates with visiting artists, masterclasses for those wishing to further their skills in puppet making and manipulation.
Explore principles of design and construction covering some of the key materials and techniques that have become part of Erth’s signature practice, and learn performance skills to create authentic puppetry.
