Step down, deep into the heart of the museum to experience a moment with an exotic animal. Share a rare moment of preciousness with the creature on the edge of survival as it meets visitors in its’ new sanctuary...  

RETREAT is a unique opportunity for young people to present an original performance/ installation as part of the 2020 TMAG Children’s Festival at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Developed in collaboration with artists from Erth Visual & Physical Inc. young participants are trained to animate a life-sized puppet of the rare and endangered Sumatran rhino in the basement of the museum.

Scheduled to be presented at the Tasmanian Museum and Gallery, Children’s Festival 2020
